What is physics presentation
One of our assessments this year in Physics was the “What Is Physics” Presentation. The assignment was to make a presentation on a type of physics, ie biophysics, nuclear physics, etc. This presentation should include a brief overview of the specific type of physics you chose, real life applications, what degrees/areas you need to learn about this specific type of physics, and any other fun facts you learn about it.
I chose to do Acoustic Physics. Acoustic physics focuses on sounds, it’s production and architectural significance. In the slideshow, I go over the different types of acoustics, which include but are not limited to: environmental, musical, vibration and dynamics, ultrasounds, and infrasound. I list different degrees you can take to be an acoustics engineer, and what an acoustic engineer does. This project was a good example of Information Skills as I researched and looked through multiple sources to be able to understand the topic I chose. Researching this topic and understanding this information is key to making a presentation on it since you have to be able to restate the information you learned yourself and communicate effectively. |
